Beta Bridge is no ordinary bridge. Students and locals are able to paint the bridge in order to depict some kinda of message to the Charlottesville community. Teh bridge is frequently painted over and over again by different groups to display a different message. It serves two purposes: one being a place to centralize thoughts of the community and be a uniting factor that brings people together, and two it is a means of expressing the diversity of the community by showing a variety of thoughts.
